Amberley Farmers Market is an authentic farmers market with a superb range of locally grown, fresh, seasonal, quality produce and artisan products. You’ll find us nestled under the trees in front of the Hurunui District Council buildings on SH1, with easy parking available. Operating every Saturday morning throughout the year, 9am-12.30pm, it is well worth visiting regularly for your household supplies, making a leisurely social visit for a catchup with friends over coffee and treats, or a quick stop on your way through North Canterbury visiting other destinations.

Big Bites Pizza

Our story started on 17th April 2017 in Amberley, North Canterbury. Our first owner worked in Italian cuisine restaurants for a couple of years before he made his plan to open his own pizza shop in Brackenfields, Amberley. He has put all his past experience into this pizza place with his own recipes and ingredients. Since we have opened up, we have had a great response from the local and wider community.

Black Estate

Enjoy our wines with mainly organic produce grown and fished locally and cooked with care by Olly Le Maitre and his team. These good people grow and catch our food. Awarded Two Hats and Winery Restaurant of the Year 2023 by Cuisine Magazine. Open for lunch Thursday – Monday. Bookings are recommended. Our Cellar Door is open in summer 7 days a week with a snack menu, and no need to book.

Board & Beyond was created from a love of designing colourful, beautifully presented platters that bring people together. What began as a passion for creating food for friends and family soon grew into a business following their encouragement to share these creations with others.

While platter boards were the beginning, Board & Beyond now offers much more — including corporate gifting, styled picnics, and bespoke food options for a wide range of occasions. Every order is prepared with care, quality ingredients, and attention to detail.

Brew Moon Brewing Company

Established in 2002 by Kieran McCauley and Belinda Gould, the Brew Moon Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery and taproom in Amberley, North Canterbury. We are North Canterbury’s original craft brewery, producing an established range of high quality, popular beer styles alongside a selection of more exotic seasonal brews. Alongside our beers we pour a small selection of local wines, and provide a range of wood-fired pizzas and small plates.
