Power and non powered sites, toilets, shower (southern camp toilet block), cubical to hang solar shower (northern camp toilet block), caravan/camper van waste dump station, children’s playground, tennis court and backboards. Water taps are gravity fed, not suitable for filling water tanks in motor homes or caravans.

Annie’s Loft & Studio is an idyllic retreat offering guests a private, luxury, one-bedroom apartment with a separate entrance, upstairs at Waipara River Estate. Set amongst mature gardens and trees, Annie’s Loft overlooks our historic vineyard and farm, providing stunning 360 degree panoramas to Mt Cass, Mt Grey, the Three Deans Range and to vineyards, farms and olive grove. Available also is The Studio, a private, luxury, studio apartment with a separate entrance, downstairs at Waipara River Estate with wide wraparound decks opening into the gardens at the western end of the house.

Karetu Down Farmstay

Karetu Downs is not just a farm it is a way of life. The 2000 hectare hill country property is home to around 4500 Romney sheep and 120 Angus cattle and has been owned and operated for over 3 generations. When you stay at Karetu you get to enjoy our beautiful flower gardens and grounds which are open to the public at certain times of the year. You even get to taste our delicious home grown fruit, vegetables, and berries (in season) grown right here in our farm stay garden and orchard.

The Leithfield Beach Holiday Park is a family orientated seaside camp located in North Canterbury, 40kms north of Christchurch, with popular cafés, wineries, and other attractions of the Hurunui District nearby. It is one of the few dog friendly campsites in the South Island of New Zealand that welcomes dogs all year round, school holidays included.
